About Our Leashes...
There are a lot of things that make this the best leash you can buy for yourself and your big dog. Big or active dogs can put a lot of force on you and wear you out but the 1 inch wide x 1/4 inch thick material we use has a plush feel and a shock absorbing quality that you will love from the first walk!
The flat braided multi-filament polypropylene rope we use is extremely comfortable to hold and is very light. Our standard 6' leash weighs 1/2lb. It is resistant to rot, mold, mildew, petroleum and chemical products. It is woven in the USA and has a hollow core which makes it float!
If you are lucky enough to have a water loving dog it is nice to go into the water with your dog and have the ability to grab the leash if you need to because it is floating right there next to them.
If you are lucky enough to have a dog that will jog along next to you, your bicycle, pull you on a skateboard or similar craft you will enjoy the shock absorbing quality of our leashes, and so will your awesome pet!
The buckle hardware we use is from solid rust proof materials (Brass or Stainless Steel) so the buckle won't corrode and rust away. Other leashes use plated hardware that will rust over time and become useless throw-aways. Ours are built to last!
Our scissor snap short trigger buckles were selected because sometimes your dog wants to tell you, "Hey you're talking too long to the neighbor it's time to go!" May you never have to experience a cracked or broken tooth and yes we thought of that!
We use heavy duty thread on our stitched joints and utilize a "box X" stitch pattern modeled after mill spec stitch patterns.
To protect the stitches, and increase the life of the stitching, we use a dual wall protective sleeve that is adhesive lined, flame and chemical resistant and if that isn't enough for your pet adventures it is also...you guessed it, waterproof!
What else you ask? Well, one of the things we are most proud of is our accessory loops that we sew on the leashes. (optional 3rd loop shown below near clasp end)
You can attach your favorite bring-a-longs to these locations or just stuff an extra couple of poop bags for a quick walk.
The inner loop inside the handle, the "Poop Loop", can be used as a holder for a poop bag that is full of...well, you know. We've found that an appropriately sized knot in the bag can be inserted here and wrap the bag around the inside of the loop handle and it can hold the bag so you don't have to. As your dog pulls you along it keeps the loop strap tight and pinches the loop and holds the bag until you find a trashcan. Nice!
Another bonus feature to the leash is the emergency foot brake. If you need 2 hands for a moment but your dog is prone to wandering you can step on it and the thicker material makes for a positive connection to your foot.
